Brez sladkorja, brez mleka in z le petimi sestavinami.

2. Vmes stopi kokosovo olje.
Zmes bo v vsakem primeru ostala rahlo hrustljava. Če se masa sprijema ob strani multipraktika, jo postrgaj in primešaj k preostanku mase.
5. Dodaj preostale sestavine: kakav v prahu, vanilijo, po želji še sladilo in ostale dodatke.
7. Shrani v čistem kozarcu v hladilniku do 7 dni.

ENGLISH VERSION:

I actually wanted to name my blog Nuts for nuts first. That’s how often I eat nuts and how much I like them. So it feels just right to share a nutty recipe. Here’s a simple recipe for a quick chocolate spread. Without sugar, withouth dairy, made with only five ingredients. I often make it with different nuts (and/or seeds) that I have on hand. If I want to make the spread especially delicious I like to add some melted dark chocolate to it. You can of course add some sweetener if you wish. I didn’t. But I like to mix a teaspoon of chocolate protein powder in the spread and have it as a snack before or after my sports activities.

For 500 g chocolate spread:

Ingredients:
200 g hazelnuts (roasted)
200 g pecan nuts (roasted)
for a knife’s tip scrapped vanilla seeds
2-3 Tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
3 Tablespoons cacao powder (I like to mix raw with processed cocoa powder)

*Optional: pinch of salt, 100 g melted dark chocolate, chocolate protein powder, sweetener of choice (honey, sugar…), vanilla extract…

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 170°C and add nuts to a baking sheet. Roast or toast for no longer than 8-10 minutes (mine were ready in 8 minutes) and don’t forget to keep an eye on them. They can burn really quickly.
2. In the meantime, melt the coconut oil. Set aside.
3. When the nuts are slightly brown, take them out of the oven. Now you can either remove their skins (rub them in a kitchen towel or between your hands) or leave them as they are and place them into the blender.
4. In a blender combine warm nuts with melted coconut oil and mix as long as needed to get a smooth, fine consistency (it will stay crunchy). You’ll maybe want to scrap down the sides several times.
5. Add the rest of the ingredients: cacao, vanilla and a sweetener of choice if you like. At this point, you can also add some melted dark chocolate, pinch of salt etc.
7. Pour into a clean glass jar and store in the fridge. It keeps for about a week. I use it for baking, in smoothies, in energy balls, as a spread etc.
